  1. Attendance and Apologies for Absence

To record the attendance and reasons for absence


  1. Declaration of Interest

To allow Parish Councillors to declare a Disclosable Pecuniary, Other Pecuniary or Registerable Non-Pecuniary interest on any matters covered by this Agenda. Members are reminded that, when considering any item, if it becomes clear they have an interest they must declare it


  1. Public Participation


  1. a) The Chairman to invite members of the public to indicate if they wish to speak at this meeting – either on an item on the agenda or on a general matter not on this agenda. You should indicate your wish to speak to the Clerk prior to the start of the meeting.


  1. b) The Chairman to invite contributions from members of the public who wish to speak on a general matter not on this agenda.


The public may raise matters or ask questions relating to the work of the Planning committee. Questions cannot always be answered at the meeting but they will be dealt with appropriately. If a matter raised or question asked is to be discussed by the Councillors, it will be added to the agenda for the next meeting of the Committee or passed to full Council.


Recording of Meetings:  Should anyone wish to record a Committee or Council Meeting the Clerk must be informed prior to the start of the meeting in order that the Council can comply with Data Protection Regulations.


  1. Minutes of the Multi Purpose Games Area Committee Meeting of 4th October 2018.

To consider and approve the minutes of that meeting which have been circulated.


  1. Clerk’s Report/ Update

To receive a report from the Clerk and, if necessary, an oral update on current and outstanding issues dealt with by the Council.


  1. Financial Report

To receive a financial report.



  1. Rejuvenation of Sports Court

To receive a report on the progress of the rejuvenation of the Sports Court with new rubber crumb.


  1.    Maintenance Report

To receive a report from Stanway Rovers Football Club (the caretakers) on the current state of the courts and equipment.


  1. Hard Court Surface

To receive a report on progress made to date in effecting a repair of the Hard Court.


  1. To Confirm The Date Of The Next Meeting

The next Multi Purpose Games Area Meeting will be held on Thursday, 3rd January 2019, at 7.00pm at the Stanway Rovers Football Club.















Minutes of the meeting of the MULTI PURPOSE GAMES AREA Committee

Held on THURSDAY, 6TH DECEMBER 2018 at 7.00pm

At Stanway Rovers Football Club



In the absence of Cllr D Bloomfield the Meeting was Chaired by Cllr T Manning, Deputy Chairman.


  1. Attendance & Apologies for Absence:


Present: Cllr D Chambers, Cllr T Manning, and Cllr J Norton


Also in attendance was Amanda Ward, Clerk’s Assistant, David Lines, Clerk & RFO and Mr K Pattle.


Apologies were received from Cllr D Bloomfield (Illness).

RESOLVED to accept the Cllr apologies.


Apologies were also received from Mr D Jones.


  1. Declaration of Interest

Cllr J Norton declared that he was a Member of the Stanway Rovers Football Club.


  1. Public Participation

There was one member of the public present.


  1. Minutes of the Meeting of 4th October 2018

            RESOLVED:   To accept the Minutes of the Meeting held on Thursday, 4th October 2018.


  1. Clerk’s Report and Update

The Clerk’s Assistant advised that the electricity company E-On wanted to install a Smart Meter.

RESOLVED that a Smart Meter could be installed.


            The Clerk relayed an answer phone message he had received regarding several issues relating to the hard court. Mr Keith Pattle was aware of the issues and is in the process of getting them resolved.


The Clerk had a query over a discrepancy with the receipts which was satisfactorily resolved.


  1. Financial Report

There were no Financial Reports available.


  1. Rejuvenation of Sports Court

           It was agreed that this item could now be removed from future Agenda’s.




  1. Maintenance Report

          Mr K Pattle advised that there were a few timbers that needed to be replaced and more fallen leaves

needed to be cleared.


  1. Hard Court Surface

         Cllr D Chambers reported that Ingleton Wood have sent the Tender to 5 contractors which need to be

returned by 3pm on the 18th January 2019. DBS Checks for the successful contractors will unlikely be

required as children are always accompanied.


  1. Date and Time of Next Meeting

The next meeting will take place on Thursday, 3rd January 2019 at 7.00 pm at the Stanway Rovers

Football Club.
